Join us on Tuesday, February 16 at 10 a.m. – Jim Cooper, author of Eastern Ontario Gardener’s Tour Guide, will talk about his book. Mr. Cooper has divided Eastern Ontario into eight suggested routes for day-trippers. Each route highlights various destinations for gardeners. Discover growers and nurseries, public gardens, landscapers, creators of garden decor and more!

     A free guided tour of Fulford Place will be available at 1 p.m. (sharp)

The New York Power Authority has just the cure for cabin fever over the long February break with trips to fantasy land and back via the silver screen.

During the upcoming school break from Feb. 16 to 19, NYPA’s Frank S. McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch will be showing a variety of free family-friendly movies. Three different movies will be shown each day in the visitors center theatre. The schedule is as follows:

10 a.m. "Tinkerbell"

1 p.m. Shorts

3 p.m. "Aliens in the Attic"

Special programs are planned for children during the February school vacation (February 15^th – 19^th) at the Nature Center in Massena, New York. The Center will offer different programs each day, from 10am – 1pm. Daily programs will mix outdoor fun, environmental education and crafts for children ages 5 – 10 years old. The fees for each day are just $8 per child. Activities are as followed:

·        Monday, 15^th: Vacation Celebration; games, crafts, snacks & outdoor fun.

·        Tuesday, 16^th: Nature’s Sounds & Sights; exploring nature with music & photography.

·        Wednesday, 17^th: Sun Fun; lots of fun in the winter sun, with art and science.

·        Thursday, 18^th: Snow Show; learn all about snow and go on a snowshoe hike too.

·        Friday, 19^th: Moon Trip; take an imaginary trip to the moon & learn all about its history & lore.
